Good News Bible Church - Palmas -Tocantins

Founded in 2001 - Pastor Ernesto Nunes and wife Miriam felt led to plant a church in this central Brazil town while studying in the Bible Institute where missionary Gordon Avey taught in the mid 90’s.  Palmas is the capital of the newest Brazilian state founded in 1989. Today with a population over 200,00o. The Good News church is located in a new neighborhood called Santo Amaro and was blessed to receive a piece of land by donation. Since then, the church has acquired two more lots and has seen steady growth in membership and improvements on their buildings.

Pray for Pastor Ernesto and family as they lead the church to minister to their working class neighborhood where poverty, drugs and umemployment are great challanges for families trying to raise children.
